The American Animal Care Center opened in 1986 with one thought in mind – simply to be the “best” veterinary hospital, not only in Fremont but the entire Bay Area. Starting with one doctor and two employees, the practice has grown steadily over the years. Clients who have been coming to American longer will recall that the office has been remodeled at least five times – each time to larger accommodations.

Our current building was acquired in 2003 , and a top-to-bottom renovation and remodel was done to accommodate the special needs of a well equipped medical facility. Heavy duty wiring for digital X-ray, SuperPulse Laser, computers and medical equipment was added. The facility was designed by a world renown veterinary architect who made sure that the building would survive the high standards of a successful veterinary hospital. It was a big undertaking but well worth the effort.

Our growing practice is due in large part to referrals from our wonderful, loyal clients over the years. We thank you for your continued trust and support. Our original goal to be the “best” must have worked. We are one of the few animal hospital in the Bay Area voted “Best of the Best.” Recently, we received the honor of being the “Top Vets for Pets” in the Bay Area. We are looking for continued quality improvements and are constantly striving to improve our operations and our services to continue to lead in the veterinary profession.
